Explore the Online MRI Program

This MRI Program delivers a comprehensive, 14-week curriculum aligned with the ARRT’s MRI Content Specifications, designed to build foundational knowledge and test mastery weekly.  Beginning with an orientation, the course proceeds through core topics including patient care & MRI safety, MRI physics, instrumentation, pulse sequence design, and imaging parameters.  Each week concludes with a test; there is also a 100-question midterm and a 220-question mock registry exam to simulate actual ARRT testing.

As students progress, the curriculum delves into data manipulation, special procedures, and advanced anatomy.  The program culminates with focused registry preparation, submission instructions, and clinical training guidance.

Practical application is reinforced through clinical training at over 1,300 affiliate sites nationwide, with students supported by a clinical coordinator for scheduling, documentation, and supervision.  With 25.5 ASRT Category A credits built in, the curriculum offers structured education without the constraints of fixed class times — accessible 24/7 across devices, and paced to fit the schedule of working technologists.

Turning Knowledge Into Real-World Experience

The Pulse Radiology Clinical MRI Training Program provides students with essential real-world experience designed to bridge didactic learning with clinical application. Upon completing the online coursework, students enter a 16-week clinical eligibility period, during which the Pulse Radiology team coordinates placement at one of our nationwide affiliate imaging centers.

Clinical training offers hands-on learning in a professional environment, allowing students to gain competencies under the supervision of licensed MRI technologists. Each clinical assignment is treated as a live interview, emphasizing professionalism, punctuality, and collaboration. Students are required to maintain consistent communication with their assigned Clinical Coordinator, adhere to the dress code, and follow all site-specific policies and safety guidelines.

To qualify for placement, students must complete the 12-week didactic portion with a minimum grade of 75%. During clinical training, students are expected to complete a Clinical Case Checklist, ensuring they achieve the competencies necessary for independent performance.

While every effort is made to match students with their preferred region, clinical site availability varies, and travel may be required. This immersive experience ensures graduates meet ARRT standards while developing the confidence and skill set required to succeed as MRI technologists.
