Course Description
This course is a comprehensive and user-friendly approach to understanding sectional anatomy of the human body. Participants will advance their understanding from general anatomy and physiology by relating anatomical structures to cross sectional illustrations that are common is the world of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT).
Program Overview:
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Understand what organs and structures of the body look like in cross section.
- Learn to locate anatomical structures in the axial, sagittal and coronal scan planes.
- Identify anatomy in the brain, facial bones, neck, thorax, abdomen, pelvis (male and female), and extremities.
- Describe the relational anatomy of the head, neck, spine, thorax, abdomen and pelvis (male and female) in all standard body sections in MRI and CT.
- Recognize how to read MRI and CT images and be able to identify pathology.
